Engineer - Powerplant


QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or any aviation related technical course.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Aviation Maintenance and Engineering Industry.
  • Preferably has experience in Powerplant Engineering and Operations or Technical Services Engineering. 


JOB OVERVIEW:

  • Responsible for technical management of all powerplant assets operated by the airline. Must ensure adequate spares availability at all times and that asset reliability within the fleet is maintained. Required to liaise closely with MROs to ensure off-wing maintenance is completed in a timely manner and within budget. Due to the high dollar value of these assets the role requires a high level of commercial awareness.
  • Provide technical support to the airline on matters relating to powerplant assets. Includes; AOG support, troubleshooting recommendations, practical training and guidance and supporting technical records enquiries.
  • Evaluate AD/SB and other recommendations for applicability and incorporation within the fleet taking into consideration both operational and commercial impact. Supported by external services provides as appropriate.
  • Define and maintain strategic removal plans for all assets, identifying peaks and troughs in shop loading and the need to support with owned as well as leased assets as appropriate.
  • Monitor asset reliability, liaising closely with the in-house reliability team, OEMs and other vendors / suppliers.
